First Lady Abby Cox to Share ‘Choose Kindness‘ Lesson with Elementary Students in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY — After receiving a grant for the Choose Kindness Program — an initiative created by Jimmer Fredette and the Fredette Family Foundation (“Jimmerosity”) to foster generosity and kindness in local schools and communities nationwide — Gearld Wright Elementary will welcome Utah First Lady Abby Cox to help roll out the program to students during two assemblies.

The First Lady’s lesson will focus on inclusion, and will include activities and discussions to help students learn how to find common ground with those around them. The lesson will wrap up with a specific challenge for students to think of how they can include others.

“I am very excited to have Utah First Lady Abby Cox help kick off the Jimmerosity Choose Kindness program at Gearld Wright Elementary,” Jimmer Fredette said. “Her willingness to teach and share lessons of kindness and inclusion in Utah schools and communities will greatly benefit the students, and the state, for years to come.”
